We have an excellent opportunity for a dynamic person to join our team as a Human Resources Generalist/Health, Safety and Environment Officer and who is keen to develop and take ownership of the role.

The Position

Location: Based at our head office in Kewdale, WA

Reporting to: Senior HR Advisor/WHS

Employment Status: Permanent Full time

The Role

Your focus will include:


  • Monitor compliance with the company’s Safety Management Systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintenance of the safety management database
  • Compile monthly HSE statistics and performance reports for management.
  • Coordinating & providing HSE awareness training and staff inductions as required
  • Review and maintain HSE policy and procedures
  • Provide a key point of contact for HSE enquiries within the company
  • Other general HSE duties as required


  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, writing position descriptions, including posting job adverts, organising interviews, reference checks, pre-employment medicals and drafting employment contracts
  • Maintain RCT’s apprenticeship program
  • Create and improve related HR policies and procedures as necessary
  • Maintain employee records
  • Provide a key point of contact for HR enquiries within the company
  • Assist in monthly HR reporting on statistical information
  • Other generalist HR duties as required

The Ideal Person

  • Genuine interest & passion in HR/HSE
  • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative to prioritise work and multitask to meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to engage, build relationships and advise stakeholders across all levels.
  • High attention to detail
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR/HSE or equivalent are desirable
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships and work confidently with people at all levels
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as being able to contribute positively within a collaborative team.
  • Sound knowledge in interpreting and providing advice on Awards and Agreements
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in MS Office, in particular Word, Excel & PowerPoint
