RCT and Activ Foundation – A partnership that makes a difference

Activ and RCT have been working together for two years.

RCT and Activ celebrated their two-year anniversary this month – a partnership which provides quality commercial services for RCT and valuable employment opportunities for people living with disability.

RCT is an innovative and dynamic Australian company that is a global leader in smart Guidance Systems and Remote Control Automation solutions for the mining industry.  While Activ is the largest employer of people living with disability in WA and employs over 1,000 people at 15 locations, including Kewdale where it is located right next door to RCT’s Perth headquarters.

Activ initiated the partnership with RCT two years ago when they began packaging RCT’s electronic component kits – a job they still do today.

RCT has utilised Activ for a number of additional jobs since then, including the packing of pressure switches and looms that are exported to RCT’s mining customers all over the world.

The working relationship between Activ and RCT operates very effectively; RCT delivers product components, instructions and job completion time frames and Activ completes the work professionally, on time and always meets the stated quality requirements.

Once RCT became aware that some of the packaging work could be completed by Activ’s employees the company was more than keen to outsource it to such a worthy cause.

“The partnership has been a huge success! We are really happy with the standard of work and level of professionalism and it’s fantastic to know that through our support, Activ continues to provide employment opportunities for people living with disability,” said RCT’s Executive Director and CEO Brett White.

“Working with the team at Activ has been a wonderful experience and we hope to work with them for many years to come.

“Activ has been supporting people living with disability in WA for 65 years. We believe they do a wonderful job enabling people living with disability to pursue a better life and are thrilled to be celebrating our two year working relationship with them,” said Mr White.

Activ CEO Danielle Newport thanked RCT for the support.

“We’re thrilled to be able to work with a range of commercial customers across WA, including RCT. We really value their partnership and look forward to working with them for many years to come.”
