The system has two stages, stage one activates an audible and visual alarm to alert the operator when they exceed the RPM limit. If the first stage warning is ignored and the violation continues with engine RPM increasing the system will automatically apply the dozer service brake slowing the engine RPM down and then will automatically release the brake and reset the system once engine RPM is reduced to the correct level.
The system includes the following elements:
ENGINE OVER RPM DETECTION
The system has a frequency sensor that is pre-set to operate when the engine reaches set RPM points.
ENGINE OVER RPM WARNING
Activates the LCD display, “Engine RPM Near Limit” will appear on the screen, red LEDs will flash and an audible sonar will sound.
ENGINE OVER RPM BRAKING
Protects the engine from over speed by activating the OEM electronic braking system.
SYSTEM VIOLATION MONITORING
The system logs all events, data can be downloaded as required.
