To help reduce these costs, RCT has designed the Haul Truck RPM Limiter, which gives mine and maintenance managers control of fuel consumption on all makes and models of haul trucks.
The limiter interfaces to the machine throttle, and controls the RPM when required to ensure the revs remain at their most efficient level, preventing excess fuel being burnt during machine operation.
For example, when the haul truck dumps the throttle can be limited to the lowest RPM possible to achieve maximum efficiency. This minor, yet important adjustment can result in significant cost savings by lowering fuel consumption and contributing to the better overall management of mine costs.
The Haul Truck RPM Limiter is a multi-voltage device that can interface with most electronic throttles and connect into more than one circuit to better assist in the fuel saving.
