These training courses are tailored to suit both operators and maintenance personnel and are recognised by the industry for its high standards and excellence. Many mining job pre-requisites include RCT certification; ensure you are job ready by completing an RCT training course at your nearest branch.
This course covers Line-of-Sight components including transmitter, receiver and interface, safe operating procedures, standard system features, disparity checking, pre-start checks, Teleremote machine components including cameras, Teleremote Transmitters and aerials, Teleremote station components, Teleremote and Guidance safe operating procedures, video system troubleshooting, laser barrier operation and, the latest digital components and their operation.
This course is designed for maintenance personnel but also includes Fundamentals of Remote Control operator training.
The course covers safety procedures for testing, transmitter and receiver specifications and troubleshooting, PWM testing and calibration, interface testing and maintenance, breakdown test procedures, remote servicing recommendations, Teleremote transmitter operation and troubleshooting, Guidance system maintenance and troubleshooting, Teleremote cabin maintenance and servicing, laser barrier maintenance and troubleshooting.
This course is a mandatory requirement for mine site maintenance staff who will be required to maintain the RCT equipment.
This course covers installation and maintenance of Teleremote communications systems including analog and digital both underground and on the surface. This is mandatory training for mine site maintenance staff who will be required to carry out testing, maintenance and servicing of the analogue or digital communications systems.
This course is for people who have completed all our courses and are qualified technicians. Technicians undertaking this training must have suitable electrical or electronic qualifications and experience. Technicians undertaking Part 1 training must also complete the Part 2 course in order to graduate from the course. This course is delivered at RCT’s facilities. Includes advanced programming, testing & servicing. These high-level courses are only available to select overseas company service personnel and to local RCT employees. For local service personnel, the qualification is only valid while they are an RCT employee.
Part 1 and Part 2 training are interrelated courses. This course is only for people who have completed the pre-requisite courses and are qualified technicians. In order to undertake the course, technicians must have suitable electrical or electronic qualifications and experience. Both Part 1 and Part 2 must be completed in order to graduate from the course.
Note: Companies within Australia are recommended to return and/ or contact their closest RCT office to have their ControlMaster® equipment tested and repaired.

Skills training is available for small groups or an entire workforce, either on-site or off-site. Participants who successfully complete training receive a globally recognised certificate from RCT’s Certified Skills Training program.
