Speeding is recognised as a major contributor to light vehicle accidents on mine sites. Unfortunately, compulsory speed limits cannot guarantee that employees will comply with these restrictions.
The Muirhead® Light Vehicle Speed Limiter has been specifically designed to interface with the fly by wire throttle systems found on most modern light vehicles used in the mining industry and provides independent control of the vehicle speed. This ensures that light vehicles are operated at a safe speed within the mine environment at all times.
RCT's highly advanced controller can be easily integrated with OEM fly by wire systems to provide smooth, accurate and reliable speed control. These systems can be supplied in a generic or vehicle specific format, and can also be pre-configured prior to dispatch.
The Light Vehicle Speed Controller is able to interface with the Muirhead® GPS Zone Controller if required. The Zone Controller allows the location of the vehicle to be monitored via GPS and the speed of the vehicle can be adjusted accordingly. Up to 99 zones and 4 speed settings can be utilised in this system.
