During April this year, RCT participated in MiningWorld Russia’s 20th international exhibition of technologies and equipment for mining and processing of minerals held at the Crocus Expo in Moscow.
The annual event showcased an array of mining companies and brought together professionals within the industry on a global scale.
About 279 companies from 27 countries participated in the exhibition which attracted visitors from 40 countries and 62 regions of Russia.
Therefore MiningWorld Russia was a great opportunity for our specialists, Stephen Macarow and Dave Holman to showcase RCT’s latest range of innovative technology designed to drive profitability and productivity in the mining industry.
RCT Business Development Manager for Russia, Stephen Macarow said the event has a reputation among Russian mining companies for being the premier mining equipment exhibition.
“Having previously attended the event as a visitor and guest speaker in 2015, I knew exhibiting would be beneficial for us this year,” Mr Macarow said.
“MiningWorld Russia is unique in the fact that it attracts attendees from a broader cross section of Russian miners, whereas other expos are narrowly focused on one type of miner.
“The event was well promoted by the organisers (ITE Mining) and as a result there was a really good turnout.”
The RCT stand was a hub of activity throughout the three-day event, with a lot of interest from both large and small mining companies, some of who travelled quite long distances to attend.
A great number of RCT products are currently operating in Russian mines sites, so our stand was of particular interest to attendees.
“We had a lot of people stopping by our stand and having the demo products available allowed the visitors to understand the ease of operating our Automation and Control systems,” Mr Macarow said.
Both Mr Holman and Mr Macarow presented at the Technologies of Underground Minerals Conference held on the second day of the event, in which RCT was a proud sponsor of.
The conference was a platform to discuss new technologies and future paths for technological development and usage of innovative machinery for underground mining and a perfect opportunity for them both to share their knowledge.
RCT Product Manager Dave Holman declared the three-day event a huge success.
“The exhibition was very busy and we had a great deal of interest from both existing and new customers,” he said.
“The overall vibe of the exhibition was exciting; all the visitors were really positive and well-receptive of our products and who we are as a business."
It was the first time RCT has exhibited at MiningWorld Russia, and after the success of the 2016 event, RCT is sure to be back again in the future.
