The CIM Convention held in Montreal, Canada was declared a success by the RCT team exhibiting at the annual event.

Three of RCT's specialists, Andrew Sells, Vern Deveau and Phil Goode, manned the booth over the duration of the expo which attracted about 5,000 mining industry professionals.

Although RCT was one of nearly 400 booths, the team felt their presence was a highlight thanks to the ControlMaster® Guidance simulator which attracted the attention of visitors; allowing them to jump in the driver’s seat and experience the company’s state-of-the-art technology first-hand.

“The simulator is a great tool to showcase our ControlMaster® automation and control technology," said RCT’s Senior Business Development Manager Phil Goode.

“It’s one thing to tell someone about a solution, but it’s another for them to be able to see and feel how it works for themselves," he said.

The CIM Convention provided the team with the ideal platform to inform the Canadian mining market about RCT’s extensive offering across its five sub-brands.

“People were impressed by the large scope of the company and its capability to provide quality, proven solutions for a myriad of issues experienced in the mining industry.”

“As well as automation and remote control solutions, we can improve machine life with our protection solutions, collate and deliver relevant data with our fleet management solutions, in addition to being able to provide a large number of specialised parts and accessories – all of which help increase productivity, profitability and safety,” he said.

The establishment of RCT’s new Canada office means that everything RCT delivers is backed by local support, servicing and training.

“We really are a company that offers our clients the full OEM service and these expos are helping us to convey exactly that!” he added.

Mr Goode said the event had a lot to offer both exhibitors and attendees.

“Not only was it well organised but there was a large number of attendees who were genuinely looking to drive innovation in order to improve efficiency on mine sites.”

“RCT is here is help Canadian miners take full advantage of Smart Technology,” said Mr Goode.
